Start, seniors and students

Ready, set, go!

The detachment of the Marine Corps and the Royal Netherlands Air Force started Tuesday at 04.30 a.m. from the Ghent barracks in Rotterdam.

Opening ceremony #Vteam

The children of the #Vteam walk The Alternative Four Days Marches every day from the Freedom Museum in Groesbeek. A festive opening ceremony was held there today. Four Days Marches record holder Bert van der Lans was also present.

A warm welcome

Normally, after a night out, they wave off the starting participants early in the morning. But this year the students of Carolus Magnus and Ovum Novum walked along with The Alternative Four Days Marches themselves! Of course we had to see that with our own eyes. After their first walking day, the students were festively welcomed on the terrace of their sorority house by a number of employees and board members of Stichting DE 4DAAGSE.

#fourdaysmarchesmemory

In 1909, the Four Days Marches started as a military march, and that background is still present today. Every year, thousands of Dutch and international military participants take part in the Four Days Marches! Over the years, this has resulted in many beautiful encounters.
